How to stop your kids waking you up too blimin' early

Nyree

Friday, March 17, 2017 is the 10th Annual World Sleep Day; an internationally recognised awareness event about the importance of sleep. International research shows that sleep trainer Sam gives children and parents 45 minutes more sleep.

Imagine being woken at 6am (or much earlier as used to be the case in our family!!) by your overly energetic toddler who wants to start the day, while there is no need to get up for another hour…This is where sleep trainers come to the rescue.

sleep training

A recent study among families from the UK, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Australia, demonstrated that sleep trainer SAM from ZAZU gives on average 45 minutes of extra sleep per day.

Sleep trainer SAM shows children when to go to sleep and when to start the day. At bedtime, Sam closes his eyes to encourage your child to do likewise. In the morning, Sam's eyes open to indicate it's time to start the day.

The research showed it took only 3 days on average for children (age 2-7) to understand the full concept of the sleep trainer of ZAZU. In the 2 weeks-test period 100% of the parents experienced more sleep and on average they woke up at their preferred time 5 out of 7 days of the week. (I am assuming Sundays was an outlier here because my preferred wake up time would be ooh...around 11am after a night out!!).  Parents furthermore indicated that the extra sleep made them feel a lot fitter during the daytime.

World Sleep Day raises awareness about the benefits of sleep which is crucial for proper growth and development of children and is crucial for their parents too.
